The General Services Administration (GSA) has launched a new Federal acquisition tool, Buy.GSA.gov, to work to centralize the Federal acquisition experience, GSA announced on April 26.

GSA said the tool’s key features include the ability to simplify market research, searchable templates and sample documents, and an interactive acquisition package checklist.

“This buyer experience tool was built using human-centered design to address pain points in the acquisition process,” Commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Sonny Hashmi wrote. “It features a governmentwide effort resulting from user research and usability testing sessions that included Federal agencies, vendors, and GSA’s own acquisition professionals.”

The new tool represents another change from Hashmi’s FAS, which recently underwent a shuffling in its senior executive service. Those changes went into effect on April 24.

Hashmi said the agency’s Federal marketplace summer 2022 strategy should be released soon.
