Kim Pugh

Kim Pugh has nearly 20 years of service within the Federal government as a senior leader and subject matter expert, with her current role as Director for Digital Transformation Center within the Office of Information Technology for the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
Key highlights in her career include serving as the Director, Investment Governance Services (IGS) within the Strategic Investment Management (SIM) office of the Office of Health Informatics (OHI) in the Veterans Health Administration, and chairing the Integration Board, within VHA’s IT Investment Governance, which is charged with making final VHA IT budgetary recommendations to the Under Secretary for Health (USH).
She is working to further modernization in the VA through her current role by advocating Software as a Service and Platform as a Service. She is dedicated to looking for ways to support VA’s mission and bring IT needs to the VA quickly, safely, and effectively through digital means.
Her experience has garnered multiple accolades for advancing programs, policies, and structures in the Office of Information Technology and the Office of Strategic Investment Monitoring, where she has supported program IT needs.
Ms. Pugh serves with integrity for the mission and maintains a strong reputation as an incisive and equitable interagency broker with the CIO and all offices throughout the enterprise, these partnerships help meet goals that are beneficial for the Veteran and Veteran Affairs.
She is a graduate from George Mason University and George Washington University. She is also a graduate of the VA American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) 10×10 Program.
