Tom Kennedy, vice president of Axonius Federal Systems, said on April 16 that the company expects to receive FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) authorization for its hosted service offering for the Federal government in the near term.
Axonius announced in February that its platform had received “in process” status from FedRAMP, which it said is “given to Federal agency partners who are aligned with the goal of promoting secure and compliant cloud services to the Federal government.”
“The Axonius Platform is now listed in the FedRAMP Marketplace and will be approved for use by Federal agencies when full accreditation is achieved,” the company said in February.
The FedRAMP program is administered by the General Services Administration (GSA) and provides a standardized, government-wide approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services used by Federal government agencies.
Speaking at the Axonius Adapt conference in Washington this week, Kennedy noted the FedRAMP “in process” designation, and said, “we expect to get that FedRAMP certification done here in the next few months.”
Elsewhere during his remarks, Kennedy recapped highlights from the last 12 months for the company and said it now counts more than 50 Federal deployments.
“We continue to see rapid adoption across the Federal government,” Kennedy said.
“We achieved multiple authorities to operate across the Federal government, which I think is always a great milestone,” the Axonius official said. “We also got our facility clearance granted in the fall, so another big milestone for us in the Federal space.”
“We are in the best position that we’ve ever been to support the critical missions across the U.S. Federal government,” Kennedy said.
