The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a warning on Aug. 6 urging the public to “watch out for possible malicious cyber activity seeking to capitalize on” the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. CISA said users should “exercise caution in handling emails related to the shootings, even if they appear to originate from trusted sources.”  The agency stressed that fraudulent emails can contain links or attachments that direct users to phishing or malware-infected websites.
