The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced on July 22 that it has joined the White House’s Pledge to America’s Workers and is committing to certify 625,000 worker over the next five years.
CompTIA is “the leading provider of vendor-neutral skills certification and training for technology professionals,” and its participation in the White House’s pledge program brings the number of participating companies up to 283.
“We are honored to sign the Pledge to America’s Workers and appreciate the efforts put forth by the White House to build a stronger workforce,” said Todd Thibodeaux, president of CompTIA. “With hundreds of thousands of tech job openings sitting unfilled, it’s critical we spread the word the tech industry has jobs for anyone.”
The pledge makes CompTIA one of the largest participants in the program, with only four companies and associations promising to create more opportunities.
