The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) – a Department of Defense (DoD) component – has awarded Northrop Grumman a $700 million contract to provide a cloud and sensor solution to deliver faster intelligence to warfighters.
The award – known as Neptune Phoenix – is a nine-year contract that includes lifecycle management, test and evaluation, and data analysis for current and future Radio Frequency and Electro Optical sensor systems.
“We’re transforming the digital ecosystem for the intelligence community to streamline inputs and provide actionable information at the speed needed to outpace evolving threats,” said Jennifer Walsmith, vice president of Cyber and Information Solutions at Northrop Grumman.
The contract will seek to leverage “model-based, systems engineering to consolidate and integrate the DIA’s technical capabilities,” along with “implementing leading-edge solutions that meet the needs of the rapidly changing intelligence environment,” the company said.
