Tech Tonic – the happiest hour in Gov IT – is thrilled to confirm our blue-chip speaker lineup for the May 16 celebration of Women in Technology in Old Town Alexandria.

Please join us on Thursday at Daniel O’Connell’s Irish Restaurant from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and our very special guests for the evening:

  • Melinda Rogers, Chief Information Officer at the Department of Justice;
  • Sharon Woods, Director for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J-6 Endpoint and Global Service Center; and
  • Renata Spinks, former Deputy Chief Information Officer for information, command, control, communications, and computers (IC4) at the U.S. Marines Corps, and now chief executive officer of CyberSec International.

The avenues that lead to the top of government tech have always been steeper for women, and Rogers, Woods, and Spinks will talk about how they’ve navigated their own routes to the heights.

Please do register to join us in the celebration and networking with peers on May 16.

Tech Tonic, formerly Cyber Smoke, is shaking things up this time around with a change from our usual Mortons venue in downtown D.C. Where will we go next?  Give us your thoughts – and stay tuned for the next reveal as we make sure there’s room at the Tech Tonic table for everyone.
