The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is requesting information on stabilizing high-priority IT applications, while simultaneously not affecting operational activities. The Request for Information (RFI) is in accordance with USPTO’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan to position the agency to utilize IT strategies more effectively.

The RFI is strictly to conduct market research from vendors for information and planning purposes. USPTO wants to upgrade and update systems in Exhibit 1, while considering high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery.

Vendors should be able to meet needs such as providing technical support; coordinate with USPTO development, configuration management, security, client software, and testing teams; and comply with all applicable statutes, Federal regulations, and policies.
